FAQ

ARE ESCAPE ROOMS FUN?

YES. We provide the challenge; you provide the excitement. Together, your team will have a blast.

WHAT IS AN ESCAPE ROOM?

A GAME.  Take time to get together with people you love, or maybe just tolerate.   Get away from the computer, TV or Smartphone.  Play a game where you can baffle people with your brilliance or be amazed at their problem-solving skills.  Take time to laugh at mistakes, struggle to solve puzzles, cheer at success. You might be the one to discover the key to solve the most complex of puzzles.  Your team has 60 minutes to work their way through puzzle after puzzle, lock after lock, mind bender after mind bender.  Figure out what needs to be done to advance your team in the game and hopefully get out of the room.  It’s all hands, brains and wits on deck.  All this and you don’t even have to change your shoes.

DO I HAVE TO BE GOOD AT PUZZLES?

IT HELPS.  The whole idea is to have fun with a group.  Everyone has something to offer in an escape room because everyone sees things differently.  You may not think you’re good at puzzles, but puzzles in an escape room are not common everyday puzzles.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

DEPENDS.  Pricing is based on how many people are playing.  The more players, the cheaper per person the cost. Bring an even number of players for the best value.

2-4 players $125 per room

5-6 players $155 per room

7-8 players $200 per room

9-10 players $230 per room

PLUS TAX

DO WE NEED RESERVATIONS?

YES.  Reserve your room by buying tickets online.  Click the “Tickets” button.  It will give you more information about pricing.  Click “Tickets” again and it will send you to a secure booking system.  Buy tickets for your entire team at one time.  As soon as you buy your tickets, you are set and no one else will be able to join your adventure.

CAN WE ADD PLAYERS WHEN WE GET THERE?

YES.  We prefer you book all players at the same time.  Tier pricing is still applicable, and additions will be charged accordingly.  Arrive early as this process takes more time at the counter.

ARE WE PLAYING WITH STRANGERS?

NO.  Unless you bring strangers with you, all our rooms are private party rooms.  No one else but your party is in the room with you.

IS THERE AN AGE REQUIREMENT?

YES.  You are required to be at least 13 years old to play The SHED.  Every room requires at least one responsible paying adult with anyone under the age of 16.  Youth under 18 also require a parent or attending adult to sign the CLUE Inn Escape waiver (Adult with Minor) accepting the responsibilities of the youth.   Every person entering the escape room are counted in pricing. We recommend multigeneration teams, especially with several young players. Bringing toddlers or infants can be distracting to game play and is discouraged, but not prohibited.

DO YOU HAVE A ROOM FOR KIDS?

NOT EXACTLY.  CLUE Inn Escape adventure rooms are challenging.  Many puzzles are  complex and developed to provide thought for mature problem-solving minds.  Some puzzles are less complex.  Youth are fantastic at finding things and sometimes are better at discovering clues than their counterpart adult players.  We suggest multigenerational players for the best experience. Remember to listen to the younger players,  let them do what they can do.  All youth under 16 must be accompanied by at least one paying adult.  You are responsible for their actions and safety in the room.

DOES EVERYONE HAVE TO SIGN A WAIVER?

YES.  Please sign your waivers PRIOR TO ARRIVAL AND ON THE DAY OF YOUR RESERVATION.  The waivers are found by clicking the “Waiver” button on our website.   Players under 16 must have a responsible adult, guardian or parent who accepts the responsibility for the youth.  Both youth and adult players must acknowledge their understanding of the  waiver in its entirety by signing the waivers appropriately.

I SEE THERE IS A MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PEOPLE, CAN WE BRING ONE MORE PLAYER?

NO

HAS ANYONE EVER BEEN KICKED OUT?

YES.  The Game Master is watching and listening to  your every move through video and audio surveillance and will stop the game if players become indignant, destructive or unsafe.

IS IT SAFE?

YES.  We are old and we built our escape rooms with us in mind.  Elderly, clumsy, or uncoordinated people will do fine.   Our rooms are as safe as we can make them.

ARE WE REALLY LOCKED IN?

YES, and NO.  Peculiar Puzzling Parlour and The Shed are locked and you have to escape.  Unscrupulous Mortician and Christmas Chaos have an objective rather than a locked door.

HOW LONG SHOULD I PLAN FOR?

60 MINUTES.  Add approximately 10 minutes for rules and instructions.  And maybe 3 to 5 minutes after for pictures and some chit chat.  If you signed your waivers before you get here, you can arrive and escape in less than 75 minutes, or stay for as long as you like till closing time.

WHAT IF MY TEAM IS LATE?

CALL.  Let us know you are coming.  The amount of time you are late is taken from your 60 minutes of gameplay.  We recommend arriving early.  There are no refunds.

CAN I RESCHEDULE MY RESERVATION?

YES.  You can call up to 48 hours prior to your reservation to reschedule for a different date or time.  There are no refunds.
